Well, well, what have we here? Imagine the youth, having NO interest in sex?
The survey, conducted by the Japan Family Planning Association, found that 36% of males aged 16 to 19 said that they had “no interest” in or even “despised” sex. That’s almost a 19% increase since the survey was last conducted in 2008.
If that’s not bad enough, The Wall Street Journal reports that a whopping 59% of female respondents aged 16 to 19 said they were uninterested in or averse to sex, a near 12% increase since 2008.
The pro-RH message says our Filipino youth cannot be taught self-control when it comes to sex. They’re going to do it, anywhere, anytime, because they have GOT to follow that instinct, fulfill that physiological and psychological need, as one pro-RH put it. And yet the proof is everywhere: when you divorce sex from its natural ends — unity and procreation in marriage — what you have left is an empty physical act that soon enough satisfies no one. A videogame provides more thrills than a real-life relationship does. Japan is only one of the many industrialized nations whose youth apparently have to relearn the benefits of sex. The contraceptive mentality is a disease that kills — and our youth will be the primary victims.
